We are in a period where many of our “leaders” discourage us from learning. They also encourage us to dismantle our formal and informal educational systems. Various corporations, media outlets, and governments are in a hurry to show their “anti-wokeness.” They do this by removing any trace of diversity efforts.

There is a concerted effort to deny the experiences of individuals who do not conform to the dominant narrative. This narrative is that of white, Christian, cisgender males.

If you are open to enlightenment, you need to find ways to understand your neighbors and your history. You should also comprehend current events and other viewpoints that influence your identity and future. Legacy media and major social media outlets are insufficient for this purpose, but there are other means of self-education. I hope to be among them.

I strive to inspire, educate, and entertain by sharing my unique perspective and unapologetic truth. I hope to create a community where we can laugh, cry, and grow together.

With a pen in hand and a fire in my heart, I’ve used journalism to amplify voices and shed light on stories that matter.
